AN INTIMATE BACKYARD WEDDING

OTTAWA, ONTARIO

I would be lying if I said 2020 was an easy year. The world was put on hold. The wedding industry, and so many others, was almost shut down completely. But through the uncertainty and fear - love still prevailed. Throughout the summer we held our breath, hoping fall would bring change. As Tyson and Adam’s day approached, the lockdowns capped at 20 people outdoors. Instead of postponing, they made the decision to still get married in their backyard with their closest humans. Even after the stress of the weeks before, and even as I shot this whole wedding with a mask on, it was still a perfect day.

The day was beautiful. Somehow extra joyful. A super bright light for everyone involved. A reminder of all the good. It was an honour to be a part of it.

This will forever be a favourite wedding of mine and it will always hold a spot in my heart.

Tyson + Adam - Thank you for your trust, friendship and resilience. It’s been amazing seeing your life blossom even more since this day.
